My favourites are Kim Ah Joong's Byul, and IU's Good Day.

Good Day's lyrics are actually a little melancholic, although the melody sounds so freakishly happy. ^^"

My favorite songs are almost all about unrequited love, because, well that's as far as my relationships ever get, which is not at all.

At the moment I really like Distance by Kana Nishino. It's about loving a guy and wanting to be with him so you listen to his music and dress the way he likes but no matter how hard you try, you'll never get close to him. Yup pretty much sums up my life.

I also really like Kuroi Namida by Black Stones (Tsuchiya Anna). It's really sad, about completely losing yourself and going crazy, wanting to be loved but feeling as if you're not good enough to deserve it and hating yourself for feeling such things. You know, happy stuff. ^^''

I can't say I have a particular theme in general, but I tend to stick to songs that are about self realization, relationships (not always the pure lovey-dovey rainbows and butterflies kind).

Well I write my own original songs and I relate to those best in terms of lyrics content (obviously lol). My songs are usually ones about, well, waiting. My boyfriend and I are currently in a long distance relationship, and even though we do make trips to see each other every week or so, it's not really the same... Right now we're both waiting for the day when we can truly be together ^^

However, I also love breakup songs. After all, the best artistic pieces usually come from a place of pain. Having gone through heartbreak before, I can relate to these as well. That's where you get all the emotional tear-jerking lyrics and heartbreakingly beautiful melodies ; ;
