23 year old Morning Musume member Kago Ai was found on the floor of her apartment by her agency staff on September 11th.

Recently Kago has been dealing with depression, since last week her boyfriend (Ando Haruhiko) had been arrested due to mafia relations. Kago was also taken in for questioning.

Her agency was worried and rushed over after Kago hinted about the suicide over a phone call. Police officials state she had slit her wrists and taken a lot of medication but that her life is not in danger and she's expected to make a full physical recovery.

Azabu Police are still investigating the matter.

Disturbing news, I saw her starting in serious Japanese cinema two years ago, was quite promising.

I don't think this is directly related to her being kicked out H!P, more about her lifestyle.
