I know Jess wants the "boys" to sing in a lower octave, but if you can't hit his parts with your chest voice, then do so within a comfortable range. Min (as in our Min) has a light voice so if you sing in your normal range, I'm sure you can give off the illusion that she's singing a higher octave. You're a female and unless you're an alto, you're not going to match a man or sound like one, so don't strain yourself, okay?
