Most of you have seen, we've been preparing this wide event since november last year !

Lately Lilie finished a compilation of several Chinese songs. Some parts of the compilation are instrumentals but not all today, I'll be working on this audio track to continue removing original voices all long the run of this project. The final cut will be a mash up, to make it sound a bit more bouncy.

So now here are the details of the operation. This wide event collab will not be done like others, we're inventing another concept for this occasion.

Here no need to reply and say you join, just reply and record as soon as possible. There will be no lyric splits. I invite you to sing the most you can of the compilation, but if you can't sing all the parts, just let them blank. Send an unique record mp3 file anyway.

Each time a voice track will be handed, I'll add it in the mixing master and we'll build the master on this basis. More voices we'll get, more rich will sound the Final cut, so don't be shy to only cover a small part of the compilation.


Pinkies, you're one hundred today, lets find more than 20 Chinese voices for this event, ok ?

If it happens that some parts of the compilation are poorly covered, we'll cast some of these parts, or eventually fill them in the end.

The process will be to build the bigger structure of the master within the Pinkies singers, but the project goes into the Blue singer pool to add more voices.

To start kick, I'll need a full vocal cover from one of you. This way I'll have my timing reference for the whole audio. Maybe Lilie will provide this recording ?

Haha I think I'm gonna call out on this one. I attempted to see the lyrics and match it towards the audio. I was confused and couldn't pronounce any of it; i'd give myself a 20%. Haha, but I will search for more pinkies who will be able to do it ^^

I can't do Cantonese unless someone had romanization for some of it? However, i can do some of the mandarin? :)
i really like the last song in cantonese but i can't read chinese so idk how to sing it xD

Once again, you don' need to cover the whole compilation. Sing what you can and let the mic running when you can't sing a part. That's how you're going to operate. One record file, with blanks (silent parts) is what ill need^^

But feel free to add some "lalala" if you want, if you can't sing. I'll find a way to use them ^_____^

I seriously fail at this. But I'll scout some pinkies who can sing in chinese..

i can sing a part of 5 (but the high pitched female voice only, as there's two voices) but ill try ^^

Celine and Cassie, these songs are mostly CNY 2011 and of course are not popular, but here the challenge is very easy. You don't have to cover so much, even if you can sing a small part of all that, it's fine. This is how the project will be built, you only send what you can, no worries if it's short.

This first step in Pinkies room is the warm up.

ahh, for the cantonese pinyin, you can use http://www.kawa.net/works/ajax/romanize/chinese-e.html
just put in chinese and it'll give back the romanization for cantonese (but it's not all accurate). :D

and for the last song/rap, it says year of rabbit but it's year of dragon this year.
should we change rabbit to dragon? 兔年更可愛 --> 龍年更可愛.. although dragons aren't really the 'cute' type. :P

Yes Sammi, this song was the 2011 CNY song, so the "animal" is out of date

Kiki, thank you for joining this event collab, but once again I say, there is no worries if you don't get all the lines like you'll really wanted, this is a popular collab and more it can sound "sung with happiness by a huge group of happy singers" more it will be enjoyable ^_____^

The master I have actually is truly good, all sorts of voice and all sorts of singing have a great effect. So Just send what you have, I'm mixer here and I take voices in real time, I'll sort all I need and fix all I can to pull out the very best from all of your recordings ^____^

My mandarin's good but cantonese? nah-uh -.- HK didn't teach me how to speak cantonese at all. XD

I want to join but all of the songs are unfamiliar to me =.= can't study them in such a rush. Good luck on the project though.

Saiyu, you don't need to cover a whole song, you can just record small parts.

Most singers have done that, only a few lines, that's all I want now ^^
